Discover new levels of efficiency in aluminum plant operations with Novelis’ groundbreaking Simulation Data-Driven Framework. Their no-code solution simplifies complex simulation model creation, allowing for rapid capacity analysis, decision support, and the creation of what-if scenarios.
Join the AnyLogic simulation conference 2024 to explore how this solution helped them revolutionize the decision-making process, optimize resource utilization, and boost overall efficiency in aluminum production.
Accurate warehouse forecasting is vital for maintaining steady production and inventory in supply chain management. Traditional Excel methods fall short, especially for original equipment manufacturers like Mahindra & Mahindra, where advanced simulation techniques are crucial.
So, they created a simulation model aimed at validating warehouse space utilization, assessing demand capacity, and analyzing behavior with varying inflow and outflow rates. Join the simulation conference 2024 to explore insights on warehouse efficiency, storage availability, forklift use, and overall space optimization.
Millions of passengers use Netherlands Railways trains daily, with over a thousand crew members ensuring schedules are met. However, the Netherlands Railways’ research revealed that drivers’ scheduling can cause train delays.
The case presents a simulation model with the timetable, rolling stock schedule, and crew plans for a comprehensive view of operations. The model, used in conjunction with crew planning software, helped assess and enhance the compliance of the crew plans.
This simulation value chain model tracks refinery inventory and vessel transport to depots across the Peninsula and East Malaysia. In this presentation, Petronas will share how simulation modeling helped predict inventory levels and optimize vessel allocation to prevent tank overflows and shortages.
With a special focus on multi-destination and multi-product transport features, the Petronas team came up with a solution to automate manual processes and improve planning.
Vale will illustrate how AnyLogic helped them optimize two real-world scenarios and analyze complex impacts. Initially, the simulation model was used to identify the optimal setup for weight stations and helped assess the benefits of reducing empty truck weighing when managing an ore unloading area with narrow roads and frequent traffic delays. Additionally, the Vale team utilized field data and various truck models to evaluate the effects of relocating mining crushing equipment, focusing on its impact on hauling trucks.

Workshops
AnyLogic 9 Workshop: Optimizing Motor Oil Supply Chain
Have you ever built a consumer product supply chain model and used it to optimize an inventory policy? In this workshop, you will go deep into AnyLogic 9 by creating a Motor Oil Supply Chain model in your browser and using AnyLogic Cloud to run the optimization experiment.
The three presenters will showcase cloud-based distributed model development and instant model delivery to the end user. There are three options: build the model by following the presenters, build it at your own pace using the cheat sheet, or just watch and relax.
If you want to build the model, please pre-register for the workshop by writing to conference@anylogic.com. Places are limited.
Benjamin Schumann Consulting: One Skill to Rule Them All – Problem-Solving for AnyLogic
Our simulation conference 2024 will feature an interactive workshop by Ben, who will share his 15 years of experience in addressing modeling and simulation challenges. Beginners will learn to use the models effectively; advanced users will delve into in-depth code and JavaDoc usage. And those of you who are well-versed in AnyLogic will tackle unprecedented problems, such as building reinforcement learning models and importing Google Maps photogrammetry.
